Add some color darling

How To Thursday!
Every Thursday I will do a post on how to do top fashion trends or top decor trends!
Today I'll be doing "How To: ColorBlock!"
One fashion trend I love is color-blocking! You can do it a simple or an outrageous way! You can color-block for in the morning or in the afternoon, or even in the evening underneath the moon! It just a fun trend that looks good on anybody.
If you're the type of fashionista that likes playing it safe use a color-blocking top, a pair of jeans, and either a black shoe or a color that was in your top.
Want to go a bit bold but not too crazy with color-blocking? Try wearing a colored cardigan and a different colored top! Remember with color blocking your colors don't have to be simple!
Now, if you don't like coloring inside the lines you can do more than two pieces of different colored items. My advice is to chose between bright/neon colors or light/pastel colors! If you really don't like playing by the rules, mix it up with bright and light colors!

Shibby!

Meet Shibby, he is a little boy (wished he was a she so I could dress it up). My sister named him because her favorite movie is "Dude Where's My Car?". My mom thinks he is a Dotson Terrier mix, I wouldn't know because I am terrible with dog breeds! Shibby is a little lazy booger, when you hold him he will cozy up around your neck and just lay there! I love it because when I lay down he'll come and cuddle with me, which is great because I can not stand dogs jumping all over me and licking me! He is a little humper though, which I find hilarious because when I take him out to pee he is more worried about trying to hump my leg than peeing. When we get him to chase us he starts to hop because he has little stubby legs! He is pretty "Shibby" if I say so myself!

I made muffins

So today I got into a baking mood! I made homemade muffins and dipped them into a cinnamon and sugar glaze! I will show you how I made them so you can make and munch on them at home!
Mmmm yummy muffins!

Here is what you need!

Ingredients for the muffins!
2 cups of all purpose flour
1/2 cup of sugar
1 tablespoon of baking powder
1/2 teaspoon of salt
1 egg
3/4 cup of milk
and
1/3 cup of vegetable oil

Cooking utensils
A big mixing bowl
a bowl to separately mix your dry and wet ingredients in
a sauce pan
a muffin pan
measuring cups and spoons
and a mixing spoon!

Ingredients for the glaze
1/2 cup of butter
and
about 5 to 6 tablespoons of cinnamon and sugar (you can add more or less if you'd like).

Let's get to cooking!
First! Preheat your oven to 400 degrees fahrenheit.

In a bowl mix all the dry ingredients (2 cups of flour, 1/2 cup sugar, 1 tablespoon of baking powder, and 1/2 teaspoon of salt) together, then pour them into your big mixing bowl.

Mix your wet ingredients (1 egg, 3/4 cups of milk, and 1/3 cup of vegetable oil) in the same bowl you mixed your dry ingredients in. When you're done mixing your wet ingredients, pour them into your big mixing bowl and mix both your dry and wet ingredients together. Mix until moistened.

Pour your muffin mix into a greased muffin pan and pop these bad boys in the oven for 18-20 minutes!
*you can add things such as chocolate chips or blueberries in them if you wish*

Glaze
Melt your butter in your sauce pan then stir in your cinnamon and sugar.
*Do this step when your muffins are done and cooled down*

Topping your muffins
When your glaze is ready dip in your muffins (make sure you get the whole top part of the muffin covered with the glaze).
After you have glazed your muffins they're ready to eat!
~If you want, you can pour your glaze into a bowl and you can dip pieces of your muffin into it!~

Enjoy!

The best has yet to come

In this post I will pick top 10 celebs, that in my opinion were the best dressed of 2011!
10. Zooey Deschanel. I chose Zooey because she always has this cute awkward/indie look about her.
9.Elizabeth Olsen, she has very elegant and vintage style that suites her! She looks flawless and her beauty is effortless.
8. I chose Elle Fanning because even though she is 13 she dresses very mature. Her outfits don't make her look too old or too young, she balances out just well!
7. Kristen Stewart went from the awkward girl that wore Chucks with everything to a red carpet bombshell! Even though she has dropped the chucks and picked up some heals she still embodies her edginess.
6. Zoe Saldana in my opinion has never had a horrible outfit. She is always looking hot and elegant at the same time.
5. Jessica Biel can go from looking like a tomboy to a girl!
4. Alexa Chung has that British, Indie, Girly feel and you can totally see that through her clothes. I think that she is the only person that could look cute in a pair of petty loafers with a cute floral dress!
3. Blake Lively dresses like the young sexy vixen she is and never does it badly.
2. Kate Middleton dresses well as her role of Duchess. She is elegant and beautiful 24/7.
1. Pippa Middleton snagged number one. She dresses very elegant and mature. She pulls it off so well it looks effortless. What I like about her and her sister is that they wear things more than once!
Well that wraps up my top 10 best dressed of 2011! Hope you like the ladies I chose and if you have any opinions or suggestion for my blog or post let me know!
